This branding concept based on the Cylburn Arboretum friends was done to explore other ways the brand could be explored and utilized. The organization cares for the grounds of the historical Cylburn mansion, as well as hosting educational programs in their greenhouse classrooms. This makes them fairly unique in the area, with the other local arboretums being Mt. Washington arboretum, which is considerably smaller, and more of a community garden project, and the Loyola Arboretum, which serves as a common grounds for Loyola University.
Though Cylburn Arboretum has a variety of trees in its collections, its three most prominent trees are the Japanese maple, the Dawn Redwood, and the Gingko tree, due to these trees being non-native to the region.
Though the branding is already successful, particularly as an educational organization, my goal for the project was to push the branding in a way that felt more formal, so as to maintain the educational nature, while also being more relevant to potential weddings or formal events, which could provide additional revenue to the organization.

STATIONARY
The stationery suite was created with the same considerations, keeping with a simple, elegant approach, graphics were made to be light, functional background elements, inspired by a path with scattered leaves.
In practice, the stationery suite should be on recycled paper, which while remaining within the realm of ecological considerations one would expect from an arboretum, also provides additional, subtle, color variety one would find in a natural setting.
WEBSITE
Once the brand goals and peripherals had been firmly established, I designed the website to present the most commonly sought information in easily accessed places. The homepage was designed to function as a one-stop shop for most of the arboretums and its website's visitors.
